Asked my manager if I’d finished my 3 month probation on Friday and in an email today. No word back. Asked again in person if she’d looked into it and she gave a very flat “I haven’t, no.”

In Germany, by law, they need to tell it to you 14 days ahead of end date. Otherwise you are automatically renewed...

Here they use loopholes in the law if you're a consultant. They can claim there is too little work before a 6 month contract run out, then get rid of people they dont want. Then they just hire them again to avoid having to employ anyone for real. Happened to me.
