I was listening to music on the speaker the other day, and I noticed I couldnae hear the hi hats with my right ear. Turned my left towards it: tik a tsee, tik a tsee, tik a tsee, tik a tsee. Turned my right ear towards it: fuck all. Honestly, nothing.

Headphones are supposed to be better for your hearing that earphones. They block out external sound better, so you don't have to stick them up as loud. And I'm assuming not having something in your ears is also good. Four hours a day of hearing my voice loud as fuck.

Anyway, that aside, I'm gonnae be wearing headphones rather than earphones from now on. My already shite hearing has been getting worse, and I think it's cos I'm pummelling my ears with the earbuds up too loud.

Thanks for your replies, the solutions seem to be: - buy an extra bit of hardware, which is never gonnae happen - get an extra bit of software that has virtual cables and is a pain in the arse to set up, which is also never gonnae happen

Aye, I could record a video and watch it back, but I'm wondering if I could do it mid stream. Or even before the stream but without having to record a video, watch it back, make an adjustment, watch it back, etc.

Even if I could do that, I can imagine a small delay with the mic (which I don't get if I just plug the headphones directly into the mic, zero latency), and that would maybe fuck with my head. But I just mean for a brief check.

After all, how can I stream me watching a YouTube video, let's say, but somehow route the browser audio directly to OBS and then to my headphones via all the compression and mixer stuff I have set up? Cannae see how that could be done.

I'll tell you something I've never been able to work out with OBS. I've never been able to check what viewers can hear. I've fannied about with advanced audio properties, monitor, monitor (mute output), all that. Never works.

Freedom Day will be like when Maggie did the poll tax experiment on Scotland, except this is Boris doing it to England. And instead of it being about the poll tax, Boris is wanting to see how many people die and if people are alright with it.
