Trump’s explanation - that “these people led” the “rigged witch hunt” - as reason for his action today, is NOT listed among the official reasons outlined in the White House statement here: https://www.whitehouse.gov/briefings-statements/press-briefing-press-secretary-sarah-sanders-081518/ …https://twitter.com/DafnaLinzer/status/1029915717582376962 …

He's insane. The only question left is if Congress will take action to protect the USA. Trump breaks the norms. Put the laws in place to stop this from happening in future rogue presidencies. Congress! Do your jobs. Checks and balances need to be codified as law.
-
Trump's flagrant violation of the law is like he's hoping Congress will remove him from office so he can be a martyr. His narcissistic ego won't let him resign from the position he hates, & it will be too humiliating to be hauled out in shackles.
@GOPHouse@HouseGOP@GOPSenate -
Putin folks. I’m telling you. They’re conspiring.
-
And two days later the #45 president Pinocchio wrote his letter hum!! Well we definitely know who's running our country and it's not #45 it's Putin!!! Blue wave in November cause our lives depend on it!!
-
Yes, exactly!

So he just committed Obstruction of Justice openly to the WSJ? What are the people in charge going to do about it? Is there anyone actually in charge anymore? How long are we expected to sit by and watch this shit go on right in front of our eyes without retaliating?
-
Get out and help people register to vote and then help drive them to the voting booths. There is NO ONE "in charge" but the People, right?
-
I thought it was about the "people" but every single day since he got in office smh I don't believe that anymore. The "people" or lack thereof, voted him in why the "people" can't vote him out? I know not that simple right? Well it should be with a crisis like this.
-
Sadly, you nailed it.
-
And sadly the Russians are involved. That's the scary part
-
I’d still rather try than do nothing at all. Based off voter turnout, a lot of people are choosing to do nothing at all. The most direct change is through local elections (no electoral college bs), yet the last local election in Los Angeles, post-45 was 11%

-
If even just the registered voters were to turn out, that number would be a lot higher. And what of those who are still not registered to vote? How much higher would it be then? 11% isn’t even close to passing (70% in a classroom) and nowhere near representative of the majority.
-
It’s hard for me to give up on a system before it’s even been used in good faith. Why else would those in power try to make it so hard for people to vote? People had to fight for our right to do it! There’s gerrymandering and voter suppression. Why try so hard? Why make it easy?

Spoken like an incredibly guilty person.
-
What we should realize is trump don't care if we know he's guilty. He's normalized cheating the system bc he's done it his entire life, and never been accountable. He truly feels it's unjustified, treason is penny candy to him, and we should ignore it bc he's king.
#Insanity -
Trumpsky is flaunting his abuse of power to solidify his control over the US. He normalized his assault on our norms & Rule Of Law by getting corrupt or stupid people to make excuses & look the other way. Until the corrupt Republican Party rises up against him we are trapped
-
The GOP have no intention of stopping trump, they are in this together. The question is when are we going to do something about it?
-
If the
@GOP aren’t doing what they took an oath to do why should they receive a pension or benefits? -
We the people pay for their healthcare, pensions, vacation and salaries. We need to fire these greedy, incompetent good for nothing's in November!
