I respect the hustle, but I feel like the key words here are "wild days". The esports scene has matured so much last decade and I feel like people can now reliably determine the worth of their work in this field and be paid a respectable wage. Working for free sounds like a trap
I'm so heavily against unpaid or even underpaid work, but in esports, you simply need the contacts. People usually don't care about your experience outside the work and rather hire someone they know. I think everyone in esports started out as a hobby.
