As a general note: practice safe SECs. OPSEC, COMSEC, INFOSEC and PERSEC are all critical. This applies to both civilians and military alike. If you think this does not apply to you, you're mistaken. Civilian organisations, both private and public, can be attacked too. ⚠️

True story: After cloudbleed, cloudflare literally lobbied the FTC to investigate me and question the legality of openly discussing security research. How come they're not lobbying their DC friends to investigate the legality KF? 🤷‍♂️

I hope a policy postmortem is done on what the "line" was for Cloudflare. The bomb threats seen today from KiwiFarms users are hardly an escalation from the long history of harassment, SWATting, stalking, etc. It's good CF got there. But very, very bad that it took this long.

We just blocked Kiwifarms. The threats on the site escalated enough in the last 48 hours that, in spite of proactively working with law enforcement, it became enough of an imminent emergency we could no longer wait for them to act. Details of our decision: blog.cloudflare.com/kiwifarms-bloc

KF finally blocked by Cloudflare. CF might have good people and do cool technical stuff, but even the tone of this post is off. They’re as complicit in this as KF users. They will lose business as a result (and probably refuse to understand why).
