Why is it illegal for an 18-year-old to purchase a beer, but not a weapon of war?

Why is it legal for an average citizen to own a "weapon of war" to begin with? We have a military and no longer any "well-regulated militias", so how does this availability relate to the 2nd Amendment now? These weapons make our society riskier, not safer. #DoSomething

You are 100% correct. If an 18-year-old can be trusted to fire a weapon of war by the greatest military on the face of the planet then why can’t he buy a beer? Thank you for pointing out that inequity. Legalize beer for 18 year olds.

Well, because we can send them to war at 18. How can you tell an 18 year old he’s old enough to defend his country but not himself or his family?

You mean like the war you just voted to send $40 Billion to (Ukraine) instead of funding a nation wide school hardening program with audits? You are also pro abortion right? Not sure who votes for people like you but they should really re-think those decisions going forward.

You ask ANY military veteran, they will tell you if you send someone into war with an AR 15, they will not last long. It IS NOT a "war weapon".
