I'm guessing some school district returned its trial iPads and went Android but who knows.
Basically Apple let them use my app for free for two whole school years without even asking my permission.

@DSHowell Did Apple at least return their 30% cut to you - or did they keep it (as is the norm with refunds afaik)? -
@felix_schwarz They did (and they normally do; that they don't was just a strange rumor based on speculation years ago.) -
@DSHowell@felix_schwarz Not just speculation – Apple has previously kept their 30% on refunds on my products. (But might be different now…)
