Incarcerated people often talk about getting “the run around”-- they’re referring to the bureaucratic, meaningless obstacles constantly in the way of getting their basic needs met. This incomprehensible landscape of administrative barriers is part of carceral punishment. [1/3]

How dare politicians suggest their homes are off limits when low-income folks’ homes are always at the center of political fights? There is no space between personal and political for tenants, unhoused folks, BIPOC facing police violence. 1/

we don’t get to take a break from homelessness, displacement, eviction, unemployment, gentrification, cop violence, etc. this follows us into our homes, invades our dreams, impedes our future. Politicians complain about intimidation? They don’t get it. We have to force them to.

Would love to see one of those least-risky to most-risky COVID infographics that focus on workers (instead of visiting a library, it would list where being a librarian lands, instead of eating on a patio, where would a chef/dishwasher land on the list).

People incarcerated in OC jails haven't seen loved ones since mid-March. Calls & letters are not a replacement. Some haven't had hot meals for more than 3 months. Many go to bed hungry while others get sick/risk getting sick from eating spoiled, moldy & foul smelling cold meat.

We stand in unapologetic solidarity with the brave people of Palestine. It seems as though the annexation has been paused but that by no means Israel is giving up on its illegal land grab. The fight continues and the power of the people swells. 🇵🇸

1/ With OC’s coronavirus hospitalizations reaching their highest levels yet, health and business leaders are raising concerns the county’s top elected official is underplaying the truth of the pandemic’s continued spread.
