        And that was just the daily routine to assure the public we were on top of it all. If we had something big to announce, like the expansion of the cull zone, or suspending the racing calendar, it was a much bigger exercise. The contrast with the Tories now couldn’t be more stark.

        Communication is everything. Look at the approach in Singapore which (from afar) looks balanced, informative, mature and sensible. Contrast that with other affected (or to be) locations who resort to bluff, bluster and bravado as their only message.
