Well yes and no. The Irish public really rate Varadkar's handling of Brexit (where the other parties broadly backed him anyway) he lost the election on domestic issues.
-
But we were told his stance on Brexit would pay political dividends for him and undermine Boris.

Really can't compare when Ireland has a fair voting system where the people get a representative parliament and in Britain we have an unfair system where most peoples vote don't matter and the government governs when majority didn't vote for them

How narcissistic and pretentious does one have to be to think the Irish give a damn about Brexit. Their decisions on who becomes their leader is about their domestic problems, not Brexit policy.

What a terrible take. Ireland’s election had nothing to do with Brexit and everything to do with homelessness, health etc. It’s not all about Britain, Dan.
-
Fine. But we were told at the time Brexit was the defining issue in both nations.

The question is will Leo’s Brussels based masters reward him with a lucrative non job within the EU for his loyalty to the superstate?

Hilarious in the extreme! I’ll never forget Varadkar’s ‘I am the EU’ speech. ‘I am unemployed’ now more like.
-
Um, no he's not unemployed. He's a TD, Party Leader, he'll be elected Tanaiste in a few hours and will be in a ministry of his choice for the next 2.5 years when he'll take the Taoiseach's office again.
