More than half is sadly due to suicide. Furthermore, the 1996 Dickey Amendment stipulated that gov’t was NOT, in fact, banned from research, but that tax dollars couldn’t be used to *advocate* for gun control. It would help if you actually knew the law on this issue.https://twitter.com/GavinNewsom/status/1125106888704757760 …

Gun violence kills nearly 100 Americans each day. It’s a public health crisis and we need to start treating it as such. By allowing research into gun violence prevention and firearm safety, we can save lives. https://thehill.com/policy/healthcare/441229-house-democrats-propose-25-million-for-cdc-to-study-gun-violence …

Frankly, no taxpayer dollars should ever be used to advocate for any issue, be it gun control or ownership, as an example.

You're so right. NRA should not be tax exempt. The most sensible thing you've ever said.

Televangelists will finally have to pay taxes on their millions they make in “tithes”. Televangelists are crooks. They abuse peoples religious beliefs for their own benefit. They also do not need to have $15M+ homes... its insane. Its no wonder they align with the Republicans
