uh, i have NEVER been locked inside a stadium or bank. your argument is invalid.

But everyone else IS locked out. My kid’s school had controlled access 20 years ago.
-
Exactly. It’s exit only with doors monitored.
-
Yep, identified as best practice in THE 80’s!!! Amazing how it’s all new to those that believe that if you close your eyes and wish really hard you’ll poop glitter and rainbows.
-
Remember when the gun-grabbers pretended not to understand how fire doors worked to try and zing the NRA? Man, 2018 was a long year...
-
How many entrances does a bank have? How many does a school have? When the bell rings and 2000 students pour out of 20 exits, how do you secure who comes in? Will paid workers sit at every door of every public school all day long? How much do you think that would cost?
-
It’s no different than any other controlled access building. These don’t require monitoring of every exit every time. It’s about deterrence. Frankly there’s 400,000,000 guns in the us so no conceivable measure of gun control can stop every crazy person.
-
In addition, look back to years past when a machine gun could be easily and cheaply bought and these shootings didn’t happen. There is a deeper issue at play and trying to fix it with gun control will not work

I‘ve never been to the US, but here in Germany, stadiums and other buildings don’t require this sort of security. Because we largely abolished firearms. We have waaay fewer mass shootings than the US, in relative and absolute numbers!

I lived in England for 6 yrs ( late 90s thru 2005)—- even thru IRA bombers— and correct, gun issues never a problem bc of strick laws protected citizens . Your logic unfortunately will fall on deaf ears here in US. Maddening, right???

England, a tiny island nation, with a population of a mere 15% of America’s population had >40,000 stabbings last year. Ease up on the self-righteous, Brits aren’t violent, rhetoric.
-
Brits are violent as well. People EVERYWHERE are violent. It‘s just the lack of access to firearms. Stabbings are horrible as well, but they are less deadly in terms of numbers. One cannot kill 70 people with a knife.

Yes when I walk into the bank, it's so nice to see the teller greet me with a smile and gun pointed at me. I remember all those great bits on the Oscars last year where everyone showed their firearms and we all had a good chuckle. Nice try at building a strawman tho.

Tellers carry?

There’s a motion on the floor recognizing Dana as the most beautiful and intelligent woman on the planet, with a show of hands... how many agree? (I’m on the front row, far right)

I can see you in the front row, and apparently there's more than that motion on the floor. Good thing they only asked for a one hand showing, in your case.

Yes, you paragon of civility. Also, check the show you're posting a gif from.
