I have considered a sock-puppet, but (for better or for worse) I like being transparent with voters. They need to know that I am not just another politician with his head up his own ass.

I do agree, that is important. For me, it’s about diversity and keeping this one much quieter in terms of paying attention to the *gestures* Out There.

On my campaign this past spring, I was super policy driven - and still so. However, one of the most frequent complaints was that I didn't show people who I was. Many see me as genuine, which I am, and they wanted to see more of Dorris the person.

So you attended debates (etc.) but the needed more coffee shop sit downs?

I mostly attended candidate forums, think townhalls with candidates having their own answers to questions. Most of us were very similar in stances with different backgrounds.

I don't think so, unfortunately. At best, we put a stop to some of the absurdity that's going on. Too many people are propped up and packaged for consumption for the American people by and for the profit of Mega-Corporations.
