I do agree, that is important. For me, it’s about diversity and keeping this one much quieter in terms of paying attention to the *gestures* Out There.
On my campaign this past spring, I was super policy driven - and still so. However, one of the most frequent complaints was that I didn't show people who I was. Many see me as genuine, which I am, and they wanted to see more of Dorris the person.

I think that "Dorris, the person" is generally pretty boring. I have a lot of interests that are off the beaten path, but nothing too exciting or outlandish.

I wasn't able to do a single debate this spring in lieu of Covid. It was disappointing because I really did want to, but it was probably best because I was still pretty green then, and to an extent, still am. But, I have learned a lot, and I am sharper for it.
