Republican (to me): “Go with socialist. Don’t say progressive. Too many Dems pretend and lie about being progressive. They don’t have the courage to pick up the mantle of socialist. I can respect someone who’s honest.” Do you agree or disagree with this Republican?

I don’t like the labels the right uses to attack us. How about just some common sense. We should pay less taxes % than billionaires and shouldn’t be at war for 200 years. Any rational person should agree with that.
I am a Debsian Socialist. To call me a Socialist isn’t something I am offended by, and unabashedly accept. Now, redefining what a socialist is in the minds of many is the real challenge.
