“Respecting the office” just because it’s the office makes you a good person?
Just a better person than who sits in it. Just because he is a sociopath doesn't mean we have to be. The choice is every bit yours as it is mine. I chose to show compassion where he doesn't. To be clear, I don't want him dead, I want to see him in an orange jumpsuit.

I guess the point I was getting is I don’t see how “respecting the office” is in any way a reflection of character, good or bad.
