Sometimes, when voicing facts and opinions, I sometimes, albeit rarely, I get told that I have privilege. Let me tell you right now, that is 100% true and I am hyper aware of it. I get treated differently because I am a white male, and there's little I can do to change it.
All I can do is recognize it, try to break the stereotype and bridge the gaps. I recognize many of the issues that revolve around race and gender, and look to continually improve that knowledge, and work with others to overcome divides rather than perpetuate them.
There is a great debt owed to BIPOC of this nation, make no mistake about that. Let's see what kind of progress we can make together. #BlackLivesMatter
