Every Military member has access to housing (barracks), food (chow-hall), clothing allowance and healthcare. They can chose to opt out of public housing and use BAH in combination with their own money to “live out in town”, and food and healthcare will always be there as needed.

If they get injured or sick, they go to a basic aid station. If it’s more than the basics, such as having a child, they go to the hospital.

There are paybands for time in service and time in grade. They always know exactly what they are going to make. There’s no difference in pay based on gender, race, or sexuality.
