Let’s be real here. No local Law Enforcement should have Military Grade Equipment; they’re not the National Guard. The obscene amount of money spent on that equipment can and should be utilized elsewhere.

Logically speaking, the only force of opposition that local law enforcement would be against is the people of their own communities. When you militarize them, the only signal that sends is that they’re preparing for a WAR against portions of their own communities.

People can debate this all they want, but actions of Law Enforcement have shown this to be true, and that can’t be disputed by anyone regardless of political or ideological leaning.
