We don't have to engage in grand, heroic actions to participate in the process of change. Small acts, when multiplied by millions of people, can transform the world. Howard Zinn

Mr Chomsky, you’re an inspiration to me. I have to disagree on this one. It’s the every day heroes, regular people who stand up to lead through activism or politics, who seed growth and change. Case in point, you, sir. You have inspired me and others.

Isn’t that exactly what the quote is saying?

I like big and bold. If I speak up first, loud and proud, it makes it easier for people to speak who wouldn’t speak up on their own. I don’t mind taking the heat for saying what’s on my mind, especially if it encourages others to speak their minds with less apprehension. <3

That’s a very long-winded way to come out as a loudmouth

I’m not dissimilar. I was 23 when I started university, and used to ask for clarifications in mathematics lectures because I knew “the kiddies” wouldn’t.

It’s a rare and very appreciated trait! I learn best when I can understand the dynamics of a topic; forces me to process it. I learn from discussion better than lecture.

Me too. Understanding needs to be shared to flesh out the fractal boundaries.
