The data here is based on 10-year averages for July temperatures - which avoids conflating normal year-to-year fluctuations with the effects of climate change. If anything, these 10-year averages understate the changes, because climate change exerts a small effect every year.

San Antonio, Texas has yet to hit 100 degrees for the year which is very strange. Through Thursday the high will only be in the 80s and 9 days after that the very low 90s.

I’m not disputing this, however, I’d love to see this same graph but using rural towns in the same states. I’m curious if the temp differences will match, be higher, or lower
Cities have a ridiculous amount of concrete, and I’m sure they have more now than they did in 1970. -
