      Manually piloting rockets is surprisingly easy..... assuming you have the right instrumentation.

          the term 'manual' is rather ambiguous: a spectrum ranging from direct control of aerodynamic surfaces / RCS valves / gimbal angles ... all the way to 'Siri, take me to the moon'. Those 'manual' lunar landings had a lot of AGC help.
