My doctor shook my hand at my diabetes check-up. “Congrats! How did you do that?” Me: "I followed your advice for a change." My A1C went from 11.5 (scary) to 6.3 (a bit high) and I lost 31 pounds this fall (pretend that's the amount in this sugar shot) and 93 since my highest.

Ruining my reputation as a BYU homer. Cheering on Westminster lacrosse against the Cougars. Fun to see former American Fork lacrosse/future Griffin teammates and McKay Lock together. Nice 13-11 comeback win for Westminster over the No. 3 team in the MCLA.

Sorry, cats. If you think it’s OK to rub up against my legs while I’m going to the bathroom but scram when I try to pet you on my terms, I get to occasionally spring a trap for you with a cozy blanket.

The other day they gave someone on the front row $150 for having the nicest shoes. That person probably spent $150 on her coffee that morning. It would be fun to do that promotion in the upper bowl.

The Jazz need to change their shoe promotion. Stop giving money or nice new shoes to rich people who already have the nicest shoes. Find people with ugly or worn-out shoes and give them an upgrade.

Anyway, this is what looks like in action. He's the Spirit SBO for American Fork and abides by the wise old saying, "Cheer loudly and carry a big fork." As a former two-time Kearns High "Spirit King," it's fun to see him support his school with all his heart.

I remember seeing some Olympus High students do a similar act of service after a football game years ago in Herriman. It's always heartwarming to see kids set a great example (even after perhaps yelling some crazy things in the heat of the moment during the game 😂).

I didn't sit next to him — old men aren't allowed in the rowdy student sections — and wondered why I couldn't find him at first following the game. It was heartwarming to see him in action, even after his high school team lost a big road game.

After American Fork lost a blowout at Corner Canyon High, I spotted a visiting student, wearing all red with a black AF cape and big fork, picking up trash around the gym. Turns out, American Fork SBO likes to do this act of service after games. So proud of my son.

It might be too bad to even receive a Razzie nomination, but my 10-year-old and I giggled after watching that "Cocaine Bear" trailer commercial.

I love how some people can’t just disagree. They have to take personal shots.

Wrong take on that one, Kearns clown. I love the idea of refs and umps and officials (NBA, NFL, MLB) all getting fined for their, ahem, “mistakes.” Their gambling winnings will allow them to afford it.

The Lakers’ whining about referees is hilarious. Dennis Schroder, who’s averaged 2.3 turnovers per 26.7 minutes and missed 56.5% of his shots during a 10-year career, wants refs to lose money for making mistakes.

The recruiting process is wild. Ethan is a hard-working, hard-hitting defender and had interest from awesome schools across the country. There were ups and downs along the way. Westminster lax has a great coach and is on the rise. Bonus: It's close to home. I'm a happy dad!

BREAKING: American Fork lacrosse legend @EthanGenessy has committed to further his academic and athletic career at Westminster University in SLC. I'm stoked! I couldn't be prouder of everything Ethan and many others have done over the years to make this possible. Congrats, #27!

I pledge to not water my lawn this winter. #doingmypart

Climatologists believe this winter could be the start of a multi-year wet cycle for Utah, but there's still an urgent need to conserve. @mikeandersonKSL shares why: ksltv.com/517444/usu-res

If anyone boos the Cleveland guard who used to be a Utah fan favorite at tonight's Jazz-Cavs game, it'll be a downright shame. Raul Neto deserves better.
