No. They are far more deliberate and sinister They are gatekeeping. 4 candidates are on the ballot in enough states to win in 2020. The number was 5 in 2016. How come only 2 get such an overwhelming majority? Cuz the debate stage validates them as 'real' candidates.
Have been since they forced LWV to stop sponsoring them in 1988. CPD is 100% partisan.
