The CARES Act imposed a 120-day moratorium on evictions, but that ban ends tomorrow. Small comfort that Dallas (the city) requires landlords to provide 60 days' notice to tenants, but that doesn't help citizens in the other cities within Texas District 24https://www.dallasnews.com/business/economy/2020/07/23/a-tidal-wave-of-evictions-could-begin-its-north-texas-surge-as-moratoriums-start-to-run-out/ …
This is not what we do in a civilized society. Evicting families and individuals under the present circumstances serves no one, including the landlords. All I can see from this is a cascade of issues whose only rival would be the Great Depression Era of the 1930s.

For what it's worth, if I were in Congress, I would call upon the landlords to extend the moratorium beyond tomorrow's deadline. We need more time to address this issue without forcing individuals and families out onto the streets.
