They’re not sick, as recommended they are doing chores at their apt buildings in exchange for the rent, that will be past due as of Monday.

After what Trump said today about keeping the gov’t shut all year I suspect that some of them are spending time looking for new jobs.

They’re being forced to work for free right now. I’d call in sick, too. Federal employees aren’t supposed be made to “volunteer” for their own jobs; it’s a violation of the Fair Labor Standards Act. They didn’t sign up to be political pawns, either.

It’s a violation of the 13th Amendment. “Neither slavery nor involuntary servitude, except as a punishment for crime whereof the party shall have been duly convicted, shall exist within the United States.” This would be involuntary servitude.

I flew out of @CLTAirport yesterday and noticed very lax security. No shoes taken off, no laptops taken out, TSA personnel just rushed travelers through the metal detectors. #TrumpShutDown

So it was like the old days that we all yearn for before the government used 9/11 to create false security. Was it as wonderful as I remember?

I think we'd all like to live in a world where 9/11 never happened. Either way, it's much more difficult to keep air travel safe when the TSA is understaffed and morale is low because people are forced to work for free 😔

9/11 was an Intel commutation fail not airport security. I would like pre 9/11 flying back to ty. Freedom over false security.

If he really had any 🏀s, he’d shut down the whole govt. Ground all planes since the FAA is govt. Don’t send out Social Sec. $$. Cancel doctor visits paid by Medicare. Let the country know what government really provides. His base would yell so loud it’d be reopened in hours.

The IRS has already made a statement that there will be no tax refunds while the government is shut down. I'm thinking a lot of people don't seem to know this yet just wait until they figure it out though
