The Democratic Party needs to decide if it’s the party of @MikeBloomberg or the party of @Ocasio2018. For those of us that don’t want to see a second trump term, let’s hope they decide to be the party of Bloomberg.https://read.bi/2KwWjBr

/ The Democratic Party doesn’t need to decide anything. But, knowing that the Dem Leadership is against progressive policies like #SinglePayer healthcare, there are some things that the people need to decide. But, before they do, I want to show them something:pic.twitter.com/hAWNWW7ysK

/ From ‘47 til around the mid 70’s GDP and wages rose together. Meaning working people shared equally in the prosperity the nation produced. (Well, let’snot kid ourselves - you had to be a white man to be in that graphic. Welcome to reason #1 why the US can’t be great ‘again’)

/ Then, in the 70’s, and really taking off in the 80’s, GDP took off like a rocket... and left wages behind, stagnant. Flatlined. Screwed. We no longer shared in the prosperity of the nation. The prosperity that we helped produce. That couldn’t have been produced without us.

/ And think of which party was in power that whole time. Republicans AND Democrats! Neither did anything to move the needle on wealth inequality, or jobs with great pay and benefits, or better and higher education, or a full and robust #healthcare system or, or, or... anything.

/ Candidats like @TulsiPress, @PeterJacobNJ, @Ocasio2018 and so many others are great and I have high hopes for them all. They have great platforms and show little to no signs of selling out to Corporate America. But I don’t trust them. And I never will.

/ But, as long as they fight against the oligarchy and for the people then I will fight along side them. I follow and support and champion policies: #SinglePayer, #FreeCollegeTuition, #GreenEnergy and so much more. The Dems don’t want to do it. People do. I fight for them.
