Would I be wrong in seeing a potentially disabling critique of many of the (meaning-making) people who show up in your feed? I think your analysis is explosive. But it is written in a gentle, subtle style. All the more Nietzschean dynamite!

Thanks for the perspective. I've used pervasive atomization as an opportunity to learn better epistemology, and I don't know even know what it would be like to have a community where I could trust people not to speak nonsense. That feels like a dream now.

Thanks, Jason! I just read your article - very interesting. I liked the developmental analysis in relation to memetic mediation. A related Freudian idea is that, even though we can advance along such stages, we can also regress back, depending on social/emotional charge.
