Certainly. The giver learns not to trumpet *being* the giver; that is the necessary element of gracefulness. And the recipient learns how to gracefully receive without apology or reservation or a bone caught in the throat. Thus what is being shown, without telling, is love.

I think I understand. At the same time, such a smooth transition sounds rehearsed. The bone in my throat tells me I have never been here, that i have received love without having expected it or asked for it. The “bone” is a sign of an authentic and unrehearsed love.
