I've taught in colleges and universities for 14 years, teaching undergraduate and graduate students, from first years to PhD seminars, with thousands of students and dozens of different courses, but I still worry a bunch about what I should wear before the first day of class.

I have seen chess masters saying “good luck!” to each other despite their years of experience. Mastery teaches us how our control is limited (even if we wear that lucky shirt), that there is always the possibilty of surprise. Good luck!
