DGCA has taken note of the concerns raised by some stakeholders against a particular Airline and its approach to safety. DGCA has already started an investigation into the issues flagged and shall take appropriate action based on the outcome of the said investigation.

All domestic and international scheduled airlines operations shall remain suspended till11:59pm of 03 May 2020.
Additionally, Airlines like Air New Zealand-12, Thai Air Asia-11, United Airlines-11, Iraqi Airways-11, Oman Air-10, Ural Airlines-9, Lufthansa-8, Somon Air-8, Condour-8, Emirates-5, Etihad-5, Aeroflot-4 & Virgin Atlantic-4 also took part in the chartered operations.
Major airlines including Qatar Airways-81, KLM Dutch-68, Kuwait Air-41, British Airways-39, FlyDubai-38, Air France-32, Jazeera-30, Air Arabia-20, Gulf Air-19, Sri Lankan-19, Biman Bangladesh-15, Korean Air-14, Delta-13, Saudia-13 & Air Nippon-12 took part in the operations.
Circular dated 21May 2020 on Recommencement of domestic flights and minimum & maximum fares chargeable for such flights has been uploaded on DGCA website and can be downloaded from the website at dgca.gov.in/digigov-portal
In addition to facilitating the Vande Bharat Mission, DGCA granted permission to around 870 chartered flights, transporting around 2 lakh passengers, both inbound & outbound. Several Airlines helped in the humanitarian mission of taking stranded people to their destinations.
As against Indian carriers operating 3-4 flights a week, Lufthansa operated 20 flights a week. In spite of this disparity we offered to clear 7 flights a week for Lufthansa which was not accepted by them. Negotiations continue. (3/3)
In continuation to DGCA Circular No. 4/1/2020-IR dated 9.12.2021 on Travel & Visa Restrictions related to COVID-19, it is clarified to all concerned that all international flights under existing Bubble Agreements shall continue to operate till 31st of January 2022.
DGCA salutes the citizens of India and thanks Hon'ble Prime Minister for providing the leadership,which motivated all Indians to pledge a joint fight against the monstrous coronavirus & exhibited unprecedented galvanization which is globally recognized,acknowledged and applauded.
Currently there are no restrictions imposed on domestic or foreign air operators for carrying out cargo operations at any airport in India.All stakeholders kindly note.
India formalised an air bubble with Germany in July 2020. An air bubble arrangement allows nationals of both countries to travel in either direction. (1/3)

Happy to inform that HAL Civil Dornier 228 aircraft will have an Indian Type Certificate (TC).
After an extensive interaction between DGCA & EASA at Cologne on the 26 August 2019, EASA supported DGCA for issuance of TC.
Indeed a step forward towards “Make in India” initiative.
However, there are restrictions in place for Indian nationals desiring to travel to Germany which was putting Indian carriers at a significant disadvantage resulting in inequitable distribution of traffic in favour of Lufthansa. (2/3)
