Dear #SCOTUS, Fetal tissue is not a person. Fetal tissue is not a person. Fetal tissue is not a person. Fetal tissue is not a person. Fetal tissue is not a person. But I am. And I matter more than fetal tissue. Signed, People who have miscarriages & abortions.

A fetus is a human life. And don’t even compare a miscarriage to an abortion. Most miscarriages happen to women who want that baby. Abortion is murder of that baby. It’s a choice to end that life. You are so messed up if you can’t see that.

Dear Danielle, Plenty of women who suffer miscarriages are devastated because they know they lost children. Saying “fetal tissue” isn’t life is to diminish their suffering, to snuff it out entirely, even. Signed, A big brother who should’ve been a little brother.

I'm sorry to see this tweet for several reasons. I've lost five babies in miscarriages, and one of the added agonies was doctors who minimized my loss—switched from talking about "your baby" to "your pregnancy" the moment we knew the baby was gone. Each baby was an individual.

My mom had some miscarriages too. I still miss and pray for those 2 sisters I never got to meet and I am praying for you now.

Slaves weren't people either, according to the Supreme Court's Dred Scott decision in 1834. I wonder if we'll look at Roe v Wade the same way in a hundred years or so.

My 3rd child never made it from the womb, but he was nevertheless a human being. My 4th child is currently a living human being, and she will be born on approximately February 15th.
