My father was in uniform against the Nazis for six years. Never once in his long life did he ever talk to me about killing the enemy. Even the concept much less numbers. And he was at Alamein. On the ground. Not in a helicopter.

Prince Harry has destroyed himself, his reputation and any remaining goodwill that existed before the publication of his book. He has become a pariah to the British people, and will likely end up in exile with the massively destructive Meghan Markle in their California mansion.

Saying the Tories have been in power for thirteen years is a highly questionable claim.
They’ve only had a parliamentary majority for three.

Yes the EU is favoured by large corporations because they can dictate the legislation for the market at Commission level and raise the barriers to entry for competitors - particularly for small and medium enterprises. It’s a corporate scam.

The EU is business-friendly but only to large EU corporates, which is demonstated clearly by the EU’s:
- procurement legislation and regulations, which force SMEs out of markets
- protectionist barriers to reduce competition from, and margins of, foreign suppliers

He also doesn't get the democratic case for Brexit quite right.
It's not only that EU institutions aren't democratic (though they aren't).
It's that, even if they were, it's better to have a 100% say in governing your own country than a 13% share in governing everyone else's.

Remarkable article in many ways from .
It's certainly rare to find it claimed quite so bluntly that democracy & self-government bring merely "abstract" advantages.
So ends the tradition of Conservative constitutional thought.
