I do that all the time. Separation of Church and State. GOP didn't mess this up until 1953, so this is the 'originalist' rendition of the pledge. FWIW,
@realDonaldTrump ignores this AND all the other words. - Show replies

"under God" is a McCarthyite addition to the Pledge and its inclusion is offensive to, among others, Orthodox Jews, Atheists, some Christian sects, some Muslims, and polytheists. It was deliberately inserted into the Pledge to offend at least one of those groups and likely more.

God, never changes, never a shadow of turning, but this temporal world of corruption is ever changing to something more corrupt. Christian's acceptance of change comes with condition: All Will Find Truth, God Almighty. Change, is necessary in this fallen world, Never Divine.

Yeah, that's a really eloquent way to say nothing at all.

In 1945 the initial pledge did not include the words "under God". That was added in 1954. The folks that won World War 2 decided "Under God" wasn't necessary. That's good enough for me.

But are you equally upset about Laura Loomer's anti-Muslim rhetoric (she just won a GOP primary) or the QAnon supporter, Marjorie Taylor Greene, who also won a GOP primary despite posting antisemitic & anti-black memes & conspiracy theories? So that's OK?
