Movies are 100% close to politics - in the sense that mass media controls or helps to control nations - historically in almost all countries movies are controlled by the national gov - perhaps even in the US to a low key degree. Also pure art or ent is also a political stance.

2 (& final :) ) - Art and ent that does not advertise itself as political propaganda are the best political propaganda (same goes for artists who say they are apolitical) because then the audience is not automatically distrustful of the message contained in a movie.
