Can I be blocked? I think it's a terrible idea for the twitter mob to shame websites into complying. It implies mob rule. Morals are fickle, and what is moral today won't be moral in 15 years. Should all the accidentally-immoral content be deleted 15 years from now too?

That's way to broad and vague of a question to even answer clearly.

Maybe, but that doesn't make a good talking point to me. Also, wow, hiya. Love your videos dude.

Oh thank you man! And yeah, I'm just highlighting that the 'vagueness' is often intentional when it comes to people making arguments like this. It's basically just an elaborate way of saying 'I give up, you should too'.

You're free to feel that way, certainly. But there is no vagueness here. Youtube has already demonitized hundreds of channels and counting. One of those was a history channel that happened to contain a Hitler speech. Those who know history have heard this one before.

As far as I can tell, your argument seems to be that it's better for an angry Twitter mob to dictate Youtube policy than Youtube themselves. Do you generally agree or disagree with that sentiment?

As far as I'm concerned, the mob didn't dictate anything. YouTube could have easily done nothing about it like they almost always do, but they went and decided to try and do something about it without actually improving the way content is identified first.
