We have a huge challenge of unemployment in our country, but it is the young people of this country who, more than most, must daily grapple with the misery and indignity of poverty and unemployment. It’s sad to see young people standing in corners with no sense of hope

Dear Mr President. Please remember that unemployment does not only affect graduates. Everyone is affected and everyone needs a solution. Please don't forget our uneducated brothers, sisters and parents. They also need to live and work. Kind Regards Thabani Nhlengethwa

@klevar82 One of the reasons of poverty and unemployment in SA, H.E Mr President is the interest rate that is very high. This does not encourage the private initiative to run small businesses. People live in poverty and are in debt. The high interest rate makes poor to get poorer

Another cause of high unemployment is when you grant economic migrants the right to work and establish businesses while your own citizens have a 27% unemployment rate. We should welcome refugees but strongly deny economic migrators.

I doubt that Pick 'n Pay asked for Checkers or any other retailers to be disbanded before they opened their stores. If you are an Entrepreneur you'll be able to find way to start and run a business & compete with locals and migrants.

But Pick 'n Pay cannot just go Thailand and open a store because it managed to reside in the country. It must apply and meet the rquirements of a business permit first before opening a store. The problem with SA is that the are no requirements .

The first thing is that you need a business visa as a foreigner and a business visa will have all the necessary documents required to open a business. If you think the country has laxed laws it's definitely not with foreigners go and look for something to complain about.
