    President Cyril Ramaphosa‏Verified account @CyrilRamaphosa 20 Dec 2017

Poverty set in as soon as land was taken away from our forebears. When the removals and dispossession took place. When land was taken away, poverty became a partner in the lives of our people.

And when the land is given back? ... the people remain poor. Look at Land Claim statistics via Parliamentary reports. It's not about the land - it's about lack of education.

        True, education is very crucial

I think you mean education? Education is key. Land ownership does not equate to wealth. Asset is only as valuable as its income stream. I would argue a well equipped person, with no land, is better off than an uneducated person with land.

African countries way less prosperous than South Africa have lower poverty levels because the poor have land where they can at least grow something to eat and better still, surplus to sell. You can transform South Africa by providing land and agricultural inputs to the poor

Last week khoisan was camping out infront of union building to be acknolaged as first land owners. ANC must compendate them and acknolage that land was taken by black tribes and setlers. The lies about land by ANC must stop

Its 2018, not 1652. Prosperity in todays world comes from skills and education that can be leveraged in the 4th industrial revolution. Will millions move from the cities and start subsistence farming as they did in the middle ages? Such a stupid red herring.
