I would like to use this opportunity to encourage Chinese visitors to our shores and look forward to closer cooperation in the tourism industry. South Africa has a lot to offer visitors who come as tourists.

Lumumba said Mandela would have cautioned against Africa trading with the Chinese and would have said: “I’m not telling you not to trade with them, trade with them but be careful because all of them always started with trade and ended up conquering us.”

For every 17 tourists who come to South Africa, one sustainable job is created!!! Let's welcome tourists from China and help them spend their money on shopping, arts & crafts, restaurants etc!

Yes but.....can we develop a robust government policy at grassroots to deal with Xenophobia towards other Africans? Communities at grassroots need sensitization to embrace diversity of color, tribes, gender & ideas. I hope you will consider making this a centerpiece.

@CyrilRamaphosa you know most of them came as tourists to SA then they started selling us fake products, killing rhinos, abducting woman/human trafficking and selling drugs. You don't love South Africans neh🤔

Will the Chinese be bringing their own manpower for the projects they will be embarking on? If not, how are we gonna be benefiting as a country?

Mr President you are a coward who wipes corruption under the rug because you cover up corrupt officials by making billions in loans to protect them from splitting the ANC while we suffer the hardest and carry the burden of being South African.

Everything in SA has a negative effect. eNCA reports – The number of overseas tourists has also declined by 3.7% from May 2017 to May 2018.

South Africa indeed has several wonders worth discovering & re-discovering. The country offers excellent opportunities for adventure as well as ecotourism. It will be a very rewarding experience for Chinese tourists to discover South Africa's wildlife in their natural habitat :-)

Its a great country, very developed in some regards. Fantastic scenery, open spaces, wildlife, coastlines, world class roads and climate. But, Diabolical violent crime problem, and a lot of robberies, murders etc. And on a knife edge with land confiscation along racial lines

I know how very difficult it is to shed off the shackles of apartheid that has dominated the country for several decades until the early '90s. South Africa also is beset with its own internal problems. But being a member of #BRICS, the potentials for growth are still there :-)

History lesson on this subject of caring! When i was a kid, south africans physically shut down our border on Rhodesia. Stopped absolutely everything entering Rhodesia, sanctioned us, shut us down. SA chaps then laughed at us as zim was destroyed. Interesting times ahead in SA!!!

Despite all those political intrigues, infighting and what have you among SA's politicians, the country still has its great share of honest, hardworking, hospitable people. Some Filipino friends who visited SA on a tour were greatly impressed by the peoples' friendliness :-)
