    There are now 87 schools with multiple infections among their population. That’s 10.2% of total schools. You might remember I said it was a good idea to keep an eye on that percentage score which last week was 6%.

    So NHS doctors are waiting up to 4 days to get COVID tests, driving 500 miles round trips to testing centres, & waiting 5 days to get the results. Sheer, inexcusable madness. How exactly can we keep people safe if we can't even get tested, ?

    Especially disappointing to see this rollback of car-free hours from after consultation showed huge support among residents for more vehicle road closures in Holyrood Park, not fewer:

    With the autumn upon us and winter months coming closer, we’ll be moving to new timings for road closures in Holyrood Park. From Saturday 19 September, the park roads will be closed by 8.45am and reopened from 3pm on both Saturdays and Sundays. (1/3)

    So R is now 1.7. Cases are doubling every 8 days. And doctors are unable to work in their NHS hospitals because they can’t even access a Covid test. The pandemic was declared 6 months ago today - and this government’s ineptitude is breathtaking.
