For that specific use case? Sure. Some people say the same thing about Mac vs PC. But Linux works for a lot more than browsing the internet and checking email; for example, few people (if any) pentest using Windows. Worth noting that Dreamworks used Linux to render its films.

Oh, I know that there are some exceptions (Pixar uses Red Hat for some of their stuff), but unless you are a programmer or you are lucky that your specific software is available, then Linux is simply not a reasonable option.

Don't get me wrong. I want to love Linux. I have a dual boot setup with CentOS 7, but for most of what I do, I have no choice but to use Windows. I'd use MacOS in a heartbeat if they let me install it on my system, but I refuse to pay 3+ times more to get the equivalent specs.
