if the dead regularly screamed from their graves based on superficial cues related to the preferences they used to have about the future, but were no more conscious than 2019 chatbots, would we give more weight to those preferences? would we ought to?

Voted "yes no" because, while they have no moral weight, it would be pretty annoying to hear them scream all the time.

Though I guess in a sense "yes yes" is more accurate because we ought to satisfy the preferences of the *living* to not constantly be bothered by the wails of the dead.
