TV must not strive for immortality. A decline in quality is inevitable, and it is better to quit than to be cancelled. Necromancy only brings back a vile parody of the original, but that is not necromancy's fault; had the show survived, it would have grown this vile on its own.

There's a deceptively nonobvious path that's the most direct of all: don't add to the work, simply keep improving it. Works are improved until they're ready for release. Then old media largely moves on to building something "next", while new media (games, memes, etc...) refines.
