I closely followed the arguments and then I read the verdict. The verdict seems to have been penned even before the case started. Anyway, the lone woman judge dissented. 4 men decided what women should do. Some gender equality this!

Let me correcting it for you. 4 Judges viewed that the practice excluding menstruating age woman were discriminatory and lifted the restrictions on them from visiting the temple. 1 Judge believed that the practise of excluding woman being a belief needn't be altered.

No she held it is not for courts to decide what is "essential practice" and what is not. Every temple has its own rules and regulation and it is not for Courts to decide. Only legislature should have those powers.

The other 4 disagreed. They held that essential practises that discriminates or deny the right to religion of some people can be struck down by the court. Ghost of Narasu, a term used for a judgement in 1950 was exorcised the personal laws are also no more untouchable.

I guess the Church will also remove practices like women not being allowed in dargah, women not becoming priests in Church for the sake of equality. Because if they don't then they are biased and hypocrites. They passed this verdict based on a PIL from a non-Hindu.

You are wrong on both counts. Issue of men monopolising the priest position is there in many religions including Hinduism not just Christianity. Mainline Protestant Churches already allow female preists and Bishops in India.

Many Hindu temples have women priests. Give me an example if a woman Padre because I have neither heard or seen any such thing. Btw, could you also shed light on how male genital circumscion is allowed for Muslims. Isn't that inhuman. How many NGOs filing PILs for that?

What about the boys? No gender equality there? Where are the endless debates and muslim bashing so common with Hindu issues?

Haven't you heard of male circumcisions? It is mandatory for Muslims and Jews. Let me know when you see placard holders weeping for those babies who have their genitals cut off even before they realize, in the name of religion.
