Hopefully it will get better even with the current schedule just because the busses and street cars can get through. I have no hope for Muni Metro though. Sigh.

This should align with a larger goal to make the entire right of way comfortable, including the sidewalks and businesses. Make market street a civic expression of San Francisco. No easy task.

The first phase is restricting cars, but the Better Market Street project is a lot more than car restrictions. They're completely rebuilding the entire streetscape, doing utilities work, and building physically protected bikeways.pic.twitter.com/HKWqDOh6f2

With all the exceptions, particularly the exceptions for "legit taxis" (whatever that means) this is pretty much worthless.

I think it means what the next paragraph says. Uber and Lyft will be considered private vehicles and won’t be allowed. Regulated and licensed taxis like a Yellow Cab will be allowed.
