I had the tremendous opportunity to speak on a panel with ⁦⁩, ⁦⁩, and ⁦⁩ about reimagining policing and public safety. An amazing, robust discussion filled with tangible next steps and hope. ❤️🙌🏾

  3. Slavery was SO MUCH worse than people imagine. I wrote my dissertation on slavery and it is incredibly traumatizing. In grad school I had to dramatically shift my entertainment habits to cope. No more dramatic or realistic shows and movies. Just escapism.

Deeply troubling. When asked whether the president has the authority to unilaterally deny someone's right to vote based on race, Judge Barrett would not say.

"They are deeply respected and bring the incredibly rare skill of influencing those shooting the guns to put those guns down and make different choices. It’s powerful to see how many people clap and shout 'Thank you!' to them while they are out on the streets on the Northside."

This work is critical as we continue building out multiple safety strategies that are driven by research and evidence. Thank you to every one of the interrupters for saying “Yes!” to joining this movement and contributing their skills and knowledge to this work!

Research has clearly demonstrated Supreme Court Justices are PRIMARILY influenced by their political beliefs, NOT the law and facts. Any claims they are not making policy from the bench and are making decisions objectively are flat out inaccurate.

Lindsey Graham finally said the quiet part out loud: he only cares about South Carolinians who belong to his political party. This isn't about political parties. It's not about left vs. right. This is about right vs. wrong.

Repeating myself and others here, but the reason Lindsey Graham won't get tested despite having been exposed to many COVID+ people is because if he reveals a positive test and has to quarantine the Amy Coney Barrett nomination could get scuttled. There is no other logical reason.

Make no mistake: if you are out of work, if your business is closed, if your child’s school is shut down, if you are seeing layoffs in your community, Donald Trump decided today that none of that matters to him.
