Good observations, here.
I disagree w/Red Kahina a LOT about things going on in E. Asia, but I appreciate her takedown of Max @MaxBlumenthal, @RaniaKhalek, & @BenjaminNorton, here: It's clear (esp. after the events of today) that Israel VERY MUCH wants war, & F/UK/US is helping.https://twitter.com/RedKahina/status/994004911095537664 …

I've listened to every episode of their podcast, some more than once. Her criticisms are about Max, Ben, and Rania circa 2016. I understand her fury--I feel similarly about Greenwald--but it's misplaced, pointless and it's actually damaging to the cause of anti-imperialism

Look: the fact that these three are going online and claiming that Israel "doesn't want war" is just a contrafactual statement of the highest order, and THEY MUST KNOW THAT. Did last night not actually happen? I am thankful for American Jews who come out and...

...openly criticize Israel, but I have Jewish friends going back more than 30 years who are in complete denial about Israel's active, leading role in pushing the US into the Iraq/Afghan invasions, neocons, AIPAC, now the Iran deal, the Syrian war--now, it's not JUST Israel's...

..fault: I'm not so stupid as to believe that. Oil interests, Christian Evangelicalism, M-I Complex, etc: these are all huge parts of the problem, as well. But Israel & AIPAC are certainly the most motivated and carefully crafted part of this nexus of interests. So anyone...

...claiming that Israel "doesn't want war" is claiming that Israel is "the victim": and that's just not true. Israel is the aggressor. So like many (not all) of my American Jewish friends, these three are running a leftist blocking campaign for Israel, creating excuses for...

Ben, Max, & Rania need to dig deeper to address these very genuine concerns about what masters they truly serve; if it's a genuine desire to expose the truth and work against European imperialism (of which Israel is the point-of-the-spear in the Middle East), then they need to...

they're doing a good job and I think they can be wrong once in a while w/o being part of a conspiracy. Blumenthal's been accused of being a secret media asset for years because of who his his father is. that dog has not been proven to hunt

Yeah--I pity the guy, actually, b/c I really think he wants to be an effective investigative journalist a la Sy Hersh. He's in a rock-and-a-hard place. I don't think there's a "conspiracy," just a bit too much Am. Excep'sm & not enough work to get outside the AIPAC/CFR/...

Sy Hersh? please. has been working for CIA all his life, since My Lai limited hangout covering for Phoenix Program. never revealed name of a CIA officer, appears critical of power while maintaining access to treasure trove of “insider” information which keeps him monetized & safe

I think you have a peculiarly idealized vision of how "investigative journalism" works, Cú Chulainn (
@Cukullen). ^_^ One must cultivate sources, and one only gets to publish what they can give you, & which can be verified. Ya: I have no doubt Hersh has "worked for the CIA"...1 reply 0 retweets 0 likes -

...but he's also done some great work as a mouthpiece for people in the US Mil. who absolutely despise the CIA (or at least big parts of it ). It's a balancing act, and yeah: I'm sure he knows he gets used. So it goes, tho. Hersh's facts are always reliable, and trustworthy.
