Your line is: "if you don't support Assad, you support the imperialists." That's whack. I demand the immediate withdrawal of all US troops. Focus on that line, propagate that line to the masses.

If the YPG is a proxy army of the US, then the SAA is a proxy army of Russia. The worsening situation of Syria is a result of inter-imperialist conflict (to divide up the world's resources), and this is the line that MLs fail to adequately understand.

Syria's government would not exist without Russia's material support. What you define as the 'legitimate government' is actually quite deceptive because protests against Assad were widespread before US intervention.

There are plenty of 'legitimate governments' in the global south who openly support US occupation and assistance. For example, Duterte in the Philippines. However, we don't support Duterte- because he's a fascist and he's repressing an actual revolutionary movement.

'Legitimacy' means nothing when it comes to class struggle and defeating US invasion. What matters is that US citizens put pressure on their government to end all US intervention in all countries.

You're diverting from what is being discussed, that is, can a 'legitimate government' also be a proxy? Yes, it can. Syria's government is acting as a proxy for Russian imperialism. The idea that Russia is defending Syrian sovereignty is extremely naive.
