you mean like Afghanistan was for Russia (quagmire)? or a quagmire for Turkey/USA?

Afghanistan was not really a quagmire. They lost 10000 men and under 500 aircraft. US lose 10000 aircraft and 50000 men in Vietnam, The soviets left willingly but US was kicked out. US supplied terrorist seven after the soviets left and even after the USSR itself did not exist.
