There are about 16,00 Barristers in England and Wales, with London only a 3 hour flight to Gibraltar. Maybe Iran needs to hire better lawyers ?

that must be it, all that's needed is better lawyers. Her Majesty's Realm dispenses nothing but justice, as humanity has learned over centuries.

There is Due Process. There would have been an Order/Writ for the Seizure and a Warrant Issued. A Show Cause Hearing could be requested by the Owners to contest the Order and the Warrant.

In reality there was a request/order from Washington, to give an answer to the downed drone.

No, that's just Pure Speculation. In reality it is a Legal Dispute that will be resolved in the Courts, unless Iran takes FM Jeremy Hunt's generous offer and guarantees that the ship will not be going to Syria.

What a moron. Legal dispute when special forces were flown from UK to seize a tanker "on suspicion" it was headed for a certain country, citing sanctions that the EU has since pointed out did not apply - something the other hypocrites knew just as well as you.

Carl Bildt said outright that there are no such sanctions as were cited by UK/Gibraltar and even if they were the EU does not enforce them like this -"the US does that". The UK of course has centuries of experience starving entire nations, with Holocaust size famines as result.

I did not know until recently that Britain in fact engineered a huge famine in Iran during WW1, by confiscating crops from farmers (I believe in order to supply troops or something like that). History has been successfully buried.

Iranians remember. they know the meaning of "Great Britain."
